Staff Recurring Password Resets

  • Every 150 days, you will be prompted to reset your password and will have the following guidelines.
  • Three out of four are required and minimum 8 characters long:
      • Uppercase characters - AZ
      • Lowercase characters - az
      • Base digits - 0-9
      • Non-alphabetic characters (!@#$$)
    • It cannot contain your username, first name, and or last name.
    • Please adhere and do not store or share your password.
    • Example of a good password: bfcs@123 or 123@Bfcs!


What to expect when your password has expired


Chrome OS


  • You will be prompted for your current password and entered the desired password



  • Re-enter your new password to update your profile



  • To Unlock and restore your Chromebook local data you will need to enter your old password



Unexpected Errors


  • Unexpected Error on Login, Click the X in the upper right corner and log in as expected.





Windows


  • On Windows, you will be prompted with a password change




  • Change your password




  • Prompt that password has been changed




Mobile or Personal Devices

  • You may need to update your BFCS wifi access with the new password
  • You may need to update your email client with the new password
  • If you sync your g-suite product - calendars or email - you will need to update your password
